The 52nd annual Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course (AUCSC 2004) will take place on May 15-17, 2007 at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. Detailed information available at www.aucsc.com.
The AUCSC offers over 100 hours of basic, intermediate, and advanced training providing attendees with technical information about the causes and prevention of corrosion on underground structures

A presentation on Hydrogen-Induced Cracking (HIC) and Sulfide Stress Cracking (SCC) Mitigation Within Shell Canada will be provided by guest speaker Karol Szklarz, Ph.D., Advisor, Materials & Research with Shell Canada Limited.

With a busy month ahead of us, there are a few items to mention as we start off the New Year:
DuPont Elastomer Course
The DuPont Elastomer course is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the Coast Terrace Inn in Edmonton. Attendance for this course is limited to 40 persons, and the deadline for registrations is January 6, 2005.
The Basic Corrosion course being offered in Edmonton from January 30 to February 3, 2006 is now FULL.
That being said, we would like to mention that NACE Calgary will be hosting this course in the Fall of 2006. Details can be found here on the NACE Calgary website.
Internal Corrosion for Pipelines
